After decades of research and billion dollars spent biomedical science has not yet discovered the cause for breast cancer. Even if biomedical methods
and technologies have enormously improved, health care costs have risen at a very high rate synchronistically.
IMPACT: Our work will address the urgent need for
cost-efficient, holistic breast cancer prevention and examinations aiming for etiology. That is why we focus on integrating bio-behavioural aspects and take a look at what actually causes the disease in the first place to eradicate its onset.
Our independent research projects will shift the mainstream focus away from a biomedical, symptomatic therapy model towards a biopsychosocial prevention model.
Currently, the HBCF supports and conducts research in these promising areas:
Project 1: The Organ-Brain-Connection and Brain Relay Diagnostics
Project 2: Traumatic life events and Breast Cancer
Project 2: Breast Health Prevention Initiative
