Dr. Christiane Northup - honored at the Heal Breast Cancer Awards & Gala Feb., 22, 2007

Dr. Northrup will be honored by the Heal Breast Cancer Foundation (HBCF) for her contributions in integrative medicine at a celebrity-filled Hollywood benefit on the West Coast, and you’re invited to attend!

On Thursday, February 22, Dr. Northrup will be among a handful of distinguished individuals, including spiritual teacher Eckhart Tolle (The Power of Now) and director William Arntz (What the Bleep?!), who will be recognized for playing a major role in shifting global consciousness toward an integrative and holistic concept of individual and global health.

Lauded for her groundbreaking books on women’s health, Dr. Northrup recently revised Women’s Bodies, Women’s Wisdom (Bantam, November 2006) as well as the Wisdom of Menopause (Bantam November 2006), to include the latest research on breast cancer as well as a program to promote healthy breast tissue. She was deeply moved by this high accolade for a cause that she continues to champion. “I’ve seen women heal from everything—including breast cancer that had spread to their bones!” Dr. Northrup affirms. “In every case, these women had the courage to release the grip of the past, feel their pain, and then choose to walk into the light of peace and joy. Others have healed fully by making their transition into non-physical life.”

The Heal Breast Cancer Awards & Gala is an annual event that benefits breast cancer research, sponsored by the HBCF. Their mission is to uncover the many breast cancer myths, raise both public awareness and the funds necessary to research the cause and healing mechanism of cancer, and help shift the focus in healthcare to holistic prevention, pre-tumor detection, and biopsychosocial intervention.
